Experiences at the Agriturismo
Today we borrow a little enthusiasm from the great Gene Wilder and that scene everyone knows: it can be done!
Looking for new experiences
For some time Luigi and I had been thinking about enriching what we offer during a stay here. This way we could extend the season a little, which certainly does not hurt, and we could also use these experiences to meet new people and discover new realities.
First of all, we thought it would be a good idea to travel around the Val di Cecina and beyond, and tell, from our point of view, about places and people worth knowing that might interest our guests during their stay with us.
We also thought it would not be a bad idea to bring other experiences directly to the agriturismo, so we started offering our home as a location for these activities, or at least for part of them.
The first experiment...
Well, this weekend we managed to do it, not without some difficulties, but it was definitely worth it.
From Friday to Sunday we were pleasantly invaded by a group that chose our area to carry out meditative activities in nature. By nature we do not only mean our green spaces, where they practised yoga and other techniques, but also the natural beauty around us, which they discovered and enjoyed.
I cannot go into the details of this group's programme because we did not personally take part in the activities, so I would not know how to describe them... you should have come to find out! In any case, it worked well.
As far as we are concerned, they appreciated the place, learned more about geothermal energy, mostly ate products from our own production and we talked about the many resources we have, resources that not all of us fully recognise yet.
So many ideas in mind...
Running an accommodation business, we already knew this: people are many and above all different, more and more so. Meeting realities different from ours always makes us reflect and gives us new motivation to improve, both as a business and as people.
So now we are sure: IT CAN BE DONE! We can organise many other activities, involve different skills and passions, and above all involve anyone in the area who has ideas, energy and the desire to get involved.
Come on! We have a whole winter to talk about it!
